In short: we only process the data needed for teachers to create their tests and see the results. Students are anonymous by default, statistics are only seen by their teacher, we do not sell data and we use no advertising or analytics cookies.
1. Data controller
The owner's identification details will be published in this section.
The controller of personal data is the owner of SLIDE.education, whose contact details are shown above. You can contact them about any question regarding your data.
2. What data we process
- Teachers: name, email, phone number (to verify the account) and password, which is stored encrypted.
- Presentations uploaded by the teacher and the settings of their tests.
- Students: an access code and a password generated by the teacher. They are anonymous by default; only if the student chooses and agrees, their first name, last name and email.
- Answers, scores and time per question, and notices of leaving fullscreen or switching window during the test.
- Technical data: IP address in error and security logs, and the technical cookies described below.
3. What we use them for
- To provide the service: turn presentations into tests, let students take them and let teachers see results and reports.
- To verify teacher accounts and protect the service against abuse.
- To email students their results, only if the teacher enables it and the student gave their email and consent.
- do not use the data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.
4. Legal basis
Teacher data is processed to perform the service contract accepted when registering. Student identification data (name, surname and email) is processed with their consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. Technical logs are based on the legitimate interest of keeping the service secure.
5. Students and minors
Students sign in with a code given by their teacher and do not need to give any personal data. The teacher only sees that code, unless the student decides to give their name.
If the student is under 14, consent to give their name and email must be given by their mother, father or legal guardian. The school or the teacher are responsible for informing families when they use the service with their students.
6. How long we keep them
While the teacher's account is active. Teachers can delete their tests, groups and students whenever they want, and students can delete their name and email from "My details" at any time. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for the security of the service.
7. Who we share them with
Only with the providers essential to run the service (hosting, sending emails and phone verification), who act as data processors and cannot use the data for other purposes. No international transfers are planned; if a provider were outside the European Economic Area, it would be done with the safeguards required by the GDPR.
8. How we protect them
- Encrypted connection (HTTPS) on the whole site.
- Passwords stored encrypted: nobody can read them.
- Statistics and reports of each test are only seen by its teacher.
- Each student code works on one device at a time.
- No web address shows protected data.
9. Cookies
We only use technical cookies needed for the service to work: the session cookie (keeping you signed in) and the language cookie (remembering the language you choose). We use no advertising or analytics cookies, so we do not ask you to accept them.
10. Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to the contact shown in section 1. If you think we did not handle your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
